      Tip Plus Warranty and Freight Policies (updated & effective August 11th, 2021)

       

       Tip Plus B2B Freight Policy:

        1. Orders meeting or exceeding $600 of shippable product will ship free freight via ground service, using a carrier of Tip Plus’s choice.*
          1. *Excludes complete bikes and frames and is bound by the following exceptions
            1. There will be no free freight offered for any complete bike orders.
            2. “Complete bikes do not qualify for free freight.  Tip Plus encourages shipments of 15+ units to realize the economic benefits of palletized shipments.  Orders in quantities of 14 or less will be shipped loose freight, via ground shipment method at Tip+ discretion.
      • Any orders (back orders, warranty, and preorders) that ship with less than 10 bikes do NOT qualify for any freight allowance and recipient will be responsible for 100% of freight charges.
      1. Sales rep can provide a freight quote to our customers before order is placed into the system.
      2. Frames in any quantity do not qualify for any freight credit
      3. *Excludes all shipments to Alaska and Hawaii
        1. Dealers will be responsible for 100% of freight charges when shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, unless otherwise negotiated with Tip Plus management.

       

        Tip Plus Domestic Warranty Policy

        1. Please determine which below option needs to be followed, based upon MSRP:
        1. If item is valued less than $60.00 (MSRP) and a recurring warranty issue, the item does not need to be returned to Tip Plus. However, full documentation (images, original proof of purchase) needs to be provided to Accounting before a replacement item will be sent to the customer or dealer.
        2. If an item has a value greater than $60.00 (MSRP), the defective item will need to be returned to Tip Plus via RMA and original proof of purchase must be obtained.
          1. Bellwether items do not need to be returned to Gallop, unless the warranty issue is a new defect which will need to be reviewed by Bellwether R&D team.
          2. For both above scenarios, full detail for each warranty needs to be added to designated GDoc file.
        3. In the case of an item falling under Profile Design’s Crash Replacement program, please follow above option b.
        4. If/Once returned merchandise is received by warehouse.
        5. Hard Goods, must show David Taylor to check if those are design issues, manufacturer issues or just a standard warranty claim. For production quality issues please forward to Josue Lopez to make a claim through our supplier. Warehouse, please provide photo for Josue to make claim.
        6. Soft Goods, warehouse will check if the item is resellable or not. For minor sewing issues under warranty, then a credit memo can be processed, but if we continue to receive the same model with the same problems, then it could be manufacturer issues, so please report to Brian Cameron right away. 
        7. Stranger or Primo BMX product, must show Rich Hirsch to check if those are design issues, manufacturer issues or just standard warranty claims. For production quality issues please forward to Josue Lopez to make a claim through our supplier. Warehouse, please provide photo for Josue to make claim.

         

        1. If the return is still under our warranty, please process credit memo issue or send out replacement right away. If returned product is resellable, please repackage and then send an inventory adjustment to Josue, so we can bring back to regular warehouse. If those are not able to be resold, they then will stay in the defective warehouse.
        2. Purchasing, please provide claim detail and photo to supplier.
        3. Purchasing send inventory adjustment to remove from defective warehouse after credit memo receive from supplier

         

        Brand Specific official Warranty Terms:

        Profile Design

        “Profile Design (distributor) warrants to the original retail purchaser ("you") that the Profile Design product for which you received this warranty is free from defects in material and workmanship for (2) two years from the date of original retail purchase.”

        Bellwether

        “All Bellwether products are fully warrantied up to Two Years to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship (proof of purchase is required). If a product fails due to a manufacturing or materials defect, then Bellwether, at its option, will replace with a similar, available item of equal value to provided proof of purchase price, or offer a credit of equal value to provided proof of purchase price redeemable at www.bellwetherclothing.com. This Two year warranty is not transferable by the original owner. This Two year warranty does not include product failures resulting from accidents, misuse, improper care, modifications or normal wear. Any alteration of Bellwether brand products will void warranty coverage. This warranty supersedes all previous warranties.”

        Stranger    “Stranger warrants to the original retail purchaser (“you”) that the Stranger product for which you received this warranty is free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of original retail purchase.”

        Primo   Primo warrants to the original retail purchaser (“you”) that the Primo product for which you received this warranty is free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of original retail purchase.

        SchwalbeOur warranty term is 3 years following the original purchase date of the product, or 5 years from its production date - whichever occurs first. 

        Federal:

        1. Federal warrants all of its products to be free of defects in manufacturing and materials for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase.
        2. If a product is found to be defective by our own sole discretion, our only responsibility shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product. We will not be responsible for any costs, losses and/or damages incurred as the result of use of this product.
        3. This warranty is subject to the following limitations in addition to any imposed by virtue of applicable law:
          a– This warranty only applies to Federal products purchased from an authorized dealer and is valid for the original purchaser for a period of ninety (90) days.
          b – All products being returned for our inspection must receive an authorisation to do so, which can be received by filling in the form below.
          c – This warranty excludes the following: damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, improper adjustments, normal wear and tear or caused by anything other than defects in workmanship and material.
        4. The original purchase receipt must accompany all claims and it must be from an authorised dealer.

         

        United

        The following warranty policy applies to the original owner only, and to United hard goods only, it does not cover soft goods, plastic or rubber products (grips, tyres, seats etc). If you have experienced a problem with one of our products, please contact warranty@unitedbikeco.com as soon as possible.

        30 DAY WARRANTY AGAINST MANUFACTURING DEFECTS
        .
        For the period of 30 days from the purchase of one of our products, if a fault in the manufacturing is identified, we will replace it free of charge. A manufacturing defect is anything that is deemed to be incorrect with the product when purchasing it, we understand that sometimes it can take time to notice them, which is why we allow this 30 day period to contact us.

        1 YEAR WARRANTY AGAINST BREAKS (EXCLUDING COMPLETE BIKES)
        United will replace any aftermarket product that develops a break within one year of purchase, free of charge. This free replacement will be covered by the 30 day warranty against manufacturing faults only (Not the 1 year against breaks or goodwill upgrade replacement offer for a second time)

        COMPLETE BIKE WARRANTY POLICY.
        United complete bikes are warranted to the original purchaser for the period of 6 months on the frame, fork & bars against breaks, and 3 months on all other components.

        If any part of the bike is deemed to be defective or faulty within these periods, it will be replaced free of charge.

        If we feel that the damage is caused by riding above and beyond the level of the capabilities of the rider, or particular model, we reserve the right to offer a goodwill upgrade only.

        If the bike is assembled by anyone other than an authorised dealer, or professional bike mechanic, this warranty will be void.

        Tall Order: 

         

        • Tall Order warrants all of its products to be free of defects in manufacturing and materials for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase.
        • If a product is found to be defective by our own sole discretion, our only responsibility shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product. We will not be responsible for any costs, losses and/or damages incurred as the result of use of this product.
        • This warranty is subject to the following limitations in addition to any imposed by virtue of applicable law:

        a – This warranty only applies to tall Order products purchased from an authorised dealer and is valid for the original purchaser for a period of ninety (90) days.

        b – All products being returned for our inspection must receive an authorisation to do so, which can be received by filling in the form below.

        c – This warranty excludes the following: 

        1. Accident, abuse, misuse, neglect or theft.
        2. Materials fatigue, normal wear and tear.
        3. Improper assembly, lack of maintenance, or installation of parts or accessories not originally intended to be compatible with the bicycle as sold, including but not limited to power assist accessories, forks, brakes, or tyres different from original specification.
        4. Commercial use, racing or competition, stunting, jumping, trick riding, aggressive riding, riding with excessive loads, lack of technical skill, competence, or experience of the user.
        5. Bicycle frames which have been repaired (eg. welded or bonded), repainted, or had the original decals removed.
        6. Frames, forks, wheels, axles, handlebars and stems, which are bent from just riding along, can be a sign of misuse or abuse and are not covered under this warranty.
        • The original purchase receipt must accompany all claims and it must be from an authorized dealer.

         

        Total BMX:

        After Market Frames

        Total BMX  provides a (1) year warranty on all of our after market frames for any failure arising from manufacturers defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty covers cracks and snaps only and none of the following faults. Any bent frames, stripped out threads, twisting, denting or other such damage is accepted as a sign of rider abuse or incorrect maintenance and not product failure and is not covered by warranty.

        NOTE: We strongly advise against the use of dual lower cables and strongly suggest you use a standard 2 into 1 style Gyro cable, any damaged cable guides/ threads will not be covered by this warranty.

        After Market Forks

        Total BMX provides a one (1) year warranty on all of our after market forks for any failure arising from manufacturers defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty covers cracks and snaps only and none of the following; bent forks, stripped out threads, twisting, denting or other such damage is accepted as a sign of rider abuse or poor maintenance and is not covered by this warranty.

        After Market Handlebars & Cranks

        Total BMX provides (6) months warranty on all of our after market bars and cranks for any problems arising from manufacturers defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty covers cracks and snaps only and none of the following; bending, stripped threads, twists or dents or other such damage as this is accepted as a sign of rider abuse or incorrect maintenance and not product failure and is not covered by this warranty.

        All other After Market Parts / Products

        All other after market parts come with a 90 day warranty, Any bent parts, stripped out threads, twisting, denting or other such damage is accepted as a sign of rider abuse or incorrect maintenance and not product failure and is not covered by warranty.

        Complete Bikes: Frame / Forks / Bars

        Total BMX provides a (6) month warranty on all of our complete bike frames forks and bars for any failure arising from manufacturers defects in materials or workmanship.
        This warranty covers cracks and snaps only and none of the following faults; any bent frames, stripped out threads, twisting, denting or other such damage is accepted as a sign of rider abuse or incorrect maintenance and not product failure and is not covered by warranty.

        Complete Bikes Parts

        All other components and parts on our Complete bike range come with a 90 day warranty,Any bent parts, stripped out threads, twisting, denting or other such damage is accepted as a sign of rider abuse or incorrect maintenance and not product failure and is not covered by warranty.

        Warranty Cover - Small Print

        THE WARRANTY IS FOR THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER AND THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE ONLY.

        The original purchase receipt is required for any warranty claim to be considered as proof of the age of the frame. To make a claim please return the item with the original purchase receipt to the dealer it was purchased from, they should take up your claim on your behalf with the local Total BMX distributor, all warranty items must be returned before replacements are issued. Replacement parts do NOT come with a warranty.

        Posting a photo of your failed product is not the best way to claim a warranty, please contact your dealer with immediate effect so we can resolve your issue promptly in a fair professional manner. Any modifications to our products must be performed by a suitably qualified person to avoid voiding your warranty, acceptable alterations include cutting down of handle Bars and steerer tubes on forks, warranty claims on modified parts will be taken on a case by case process. We fully believe in our products and thus confidently offer this warranty to our customers, thanks for choosing Total BMX we really appreciate the support.
